Covid-19 Rules For Playing Squash

Covid-19 controls and procedures to protect the health of members and their families

1. Courts must be booked by the use of personal equipment (phones and tablets). The booking screen at the club will not be in use.

2. Players to only book (or be named on) one court per day.

3. Each booking must have the names of both players entered online, to allow track and tracing. If solo practice, add “solo” as the other player. Guests not allowed. Court bookings without this information will be cancelled. Please be aware that booking information can be monitored.

4. Do not come to the club if you are unwell and/or showing any Covid symptoms.

5. If you develop Covid symptoms and test positive after being at the club, inform Nigel Godwin (07812513417) immediately, so track and trace can be implemented.

6. Arrive and leave the club in your playing kit (except footwear). There will be no changing/showering facilities available.

7. Sanitise your hands on arrival and exit.

8. Bring your own towel and water bottle. These are to be kept on court as you are not to exit the court in-between games.

9. Place any personal belongings on court or by the court door.

10. A maximum of two people allowed per court session. No further players allowed to play, even if they are standing off court, i.e. No “Threes”.

11. Play can only take place in an EnglandSquash approved manner - Solo practice, supervised coaching, Sides games. Please read/watch the EnglandSquash advice.

12. Avoid wiping hands or other parts of the body on the walls of the court.

13. Do not shake hands and avoid other contact, maintaining social distancing as appropriate.

14. “Normal” games of squash can only take place between people, who belong to the same “household” bubble. There is NO such thing as a “squash” bubble.

15. No spectators are allowed. The only people to enter the club are the named players.

16. If you are found to be in breach of these Covid secure controls and procedures, your membership will be suspended for up to 12 months
