Please update below from The Rugby Club . I will refund courts booked for today.
Some light at the end of the tunnel. After 5 days I have managed to speak to a police officer who understood how the Police and criminal justice act 1994 works.
They have now served notice under section 61 of that act and have given the travellers until 2pm today to quit the site. More importantly it gives them an effective reentry ban for 12 months in the future.
Without wishing to tempt fate we expect the site to be back to normal tomorrow. I will confirm this however if and when it happens. We will remain closed tonight.
