Dear Members,
Due to recent high energy costs, Shaw Lane Foundation have had to request an additional rent. All the sport sections based at Shaw Lane are having to pay this supplementary rent.
In order to finance this additional cost, the Squash and Racketball Club will increase the court fee from £3 to £4 per 40 minute session.
This increase will begin on Monday 3rd April.
The committee has checked membership and court costs at other Squash clubs and, despite this increase, Barnsley Squash and Racketball Club is still one of the cheapest clubs to play at in the area.
There has not been a court fee increase for a long period of time, so this move was considered carefully. It was agreed that the club must support its relationship with Shaw Lane during this difficult period, to ensure the continuation of its excellent facilities.
