COVID-19 Update

Dear Member,

England Squash have now given guidance that clubs can move to Phase 2 of the return to normal activity.

This phase allows the formation of squash bubbles within a club. If members compile with certain conditions, they will be able to play full court with others members in their bubble.

A bubble can consist of up to a total of six members. If you wish to form a bubble, please inform Nigel Godwin (nigelgodwin1@me.com) of the members of your bubble. Please include with this information, a statement that all the members of the bubble have read the full conditions on the link below. This is the responsibility of the “bubble leader”. A list of the bubbles, along with the conditions of play, will be displayed at the club and published on the club’s Facebook page.

If a bubble member displays symptoms, all members of the bubble should act as per Government guidelines, until the symptomatic member has the result of the test. Remember you could be a link in the chain.

Please remember that you can only be a member of one bubble. If you wish to change, you must take a seven day break from playing full court squash and inform Nigel about the change.

Members that are not in the same bubble can still play each other using the Phase 1 restrictions. That is Sides, or somebody from your own household.

If you are a bubble member at another club, you cannot be a bubble member at Barnsley. You can still play at Barnsley using the Phase 1 restrictions.

Below are some of the full court playing conditions, that the committee hope are adhered to by the members. If we follow the guidelines, hopefully we can move to Phase 3 soon. (Please read the complete guide on the link)

Only 2 players on court, best of 3 games, first to 11, switch server at the half way point of the game, maintain hygiene practices.

Please read the full conditions on the link below;-
