Club Update

I must apologise for not getting this out yesterday, but please see email from The Rugby Club.


Good afternoon,

The bar will be required by law to close from tomorrow onwards unless food is served with drinks.

This presents the club with a problem which cannot be resolved today, which is that if we remain open to the public (and serve food in order to achieve that) then we may miss out on government support which may ensure the future of the club and its employees. We will continue this conversation on Monday with BMBC and hopefully resolve the clubs position.

We have therefore taken the decision to close the entire clubhouse building from 10pm tonight until 7am Monday – This will include the squash courts.
We hope to be able then to open as normal on Monday during the day and hopefully the evening given government guidelines are in place.

This decision has not been taken lightly and we hope that the impact is negligible. We will announce the temporary closure on Social Media in a short while and don’t want anyone to read more into this than necessary.

Not receiving Email Newsletters?

  • Login and check you email address is correct.
  • Contact Us if you changed your email address.
  • Check you spam/junk folders (and mark the message as "not spam/junk" if you find it there).
  • Add "barnsleysquashclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Contacts list or email address book.
  • Contact your email service provider and ask them why you're not receiving messages sent from barnsleysquashclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.

Hotmail/Outlook Users

  • Login to your Hotmail/Outlook account.
  • Click Settings > View all Outlook settings > Junk Email
  • Add "mycourts.co.uk" and "no-reply.mycourts.co.uk" to your Safe Senders and domains.

GMail Users

  • Go to Gmail Settings > Filters and Blocked Addresses. If "Barnsley Squash Club <barnsleysquashclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" appears in the list of blocked addresses, select "Barnsley Squash Club <barnsleysquashclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk>" and click "unblock selected addresses".

Other email service providers may have similar settings -- please follow their instructions. If not, contact their support desk and request delivery of messages from barnsleysquashclub@no-reply.mycourts.co.uk.
