News from Barnsley Squash & Racketball Club

News from Barnsley Squash & Racketball Club:

Group Coaching:
Courts 4&5 are now permanently booked on Tuesday evenings for both Junior (6.10pm start) and Adult group coaching (7.10pm start). Everyone, regardless of standard is welcome to attend these sessions, and we hope they become very well supported and attended.
The sessions will include tuition and training, and all are welcome into the bar afterwards - a great way to improve your game, meet new players and strike up new friendships at the club.

Team Training:
The new season is soon to be upon us, and training should have started long before now.
Team training will start on Monday 20th September at 8pm, run for 5 weeks each Monday until the 11th October and we would like to invite, former, current, and potential new team members to attend, a £?? fee per attendee is required, payable to Training With Trez.
Thank you to those who have already included their names on the sheets at the club, we have a good base for some strong teams already.
If you wish to be assessed for inclusion as a team member or would like to train with a view to becoming a member of the squad in the future you will be more than welcome to participate.
Let’s hope we can get the teams sorted, and that Barnsley Squash & Racketball has a very successful season across the various leagues we compete in.

Junior and Women’s Squash:
The club, with the help of Training with Trez, will be actively seeking to greatly increase Junior and Women’s participation throughout the coming season, both of which are severely lacking at the moment.
We will be running a Ladies only session during Womens Squash Week (6pm on Friday 24th Sept) which we would love you to promote to anyone who may be interested, the sessions will be fun packed and hope to encourage more ladies playing regularly at the club.
Junior Squash in particular, is very important to the club as this should be the lifeblood, and key to the continuation of the club.
As current members age, and eventually reduce participation or leave the club, we should be reliant on our youth to replenish the club and continue to develop further.
We would like to invite families to come and participate, and if you or anyone you know has kids who may be willing to sign up, please get in touch with Andrew Tressler (07811447795, trainingwithtrez@gmail.com) at the earliest opportunity.
Anyone who maybe in contact with local schools and colleges, and may be able to assist, would also be of great and much appreciated help?

Christmas Competition:
We are looking at the possibility of having a fun, social tournament and Christmas party, the date and format of which will be decided in the coming weeks.
Any input or ideas would be greatly appreciated and if there are any volunteers willing to help organise, your participation would also be greatly accepted.

Barnsley Squash & Racketball is heading in an exciting direction in the coming months and the support of all members, families and friends is the main thing that will make this a success.
We thank you in advance for you support, help and participation, and hope that together we can help this club develop, grow, and become the busy and successful club it so richly deserves to be.
