Move to a more cost-effective solution. Hi all members and a happy new year,

You may have already noticed we have made changes to our web site. The reasons and benefits are–

Bring management and editing of the site “in-house”.
Move to a more cost-effective solution.
Freshen up the site and add new “live” content such as a -

NEWS area. (From main menu, with the latest 2 news posts at bottom of home page)
Live Facebook posts feed. (Bottom of the home page)
Ability to ask questions or supply feedback. (From the form of the contact us page)
Provide discussion forums for members to interact on-line. (Trial to start soon!)
links to our Mycourts web site for booking courts or checking on league or team status.

As mentioned above, our new web site layout now includes a forums area to allow members to communicate with each other on-line. The idea is to have a few forum areas such as general discussions, squash specific and Racketball specific discussions along with individual team talk areas. Once registered, you can then subscribe to any or all forums’ areas.

Any visitor to the site can view posts in the forums but if you want to participate actively, like adding a discussion topic or replying to posts etc, then you’ll need to 1st register and then subscribe to the forums you want to interact with.

Below you can see the registration process.

Open the web site as normal
In the top L/H corner you’ll see Login & Register

Click register and complete the required fields.
You’ll then get a confirmation email like the one shown below but… this has a slight issue on some / most PC’s were by, when clicking on the full confirmation link results in a “404” page not found error.

In this case, just use the 1st part of the address, (i.e. Copy / paste this into your web browser address bar) to get to the correct page and then copy / paste the code stringinto the input box on the page. See below –

Once registration is complete, you can use the forum but note, you need to use the “Login” shown in point 2 above to have full read / write access. You’ll be prompted for your username or email and then your password.

If you forget this part, when you try and add a topic or reply to a post in the forum, you’’ be prompted to login.

Lastly, as we plan to have a few different forum area’s (General, Squash, Racketball & teams), you can “subscribe” to anyone or all areas in order to receive and reply. Below outline how to subscribe.

Below you can see the subscription process.

Open the web site as normal
In the top L/H corner Login
Use the Enter Forum button

Below, I’ll show you 2 ways to subscribe

If this is your 1st subscription then simply enter one of the forums by clicking on the forum title text. Just below the title you’ll see the subscription link. Click this to subscribe. You may get a 404 page error but it should still work. See the screen shot below -

Once you’ve subscribed to at least one forum you can then subscribe to others in the same way outlined above or use the subscription Manager area to turn on or off forums you want to be active in, or not. See the screen shots below.

Go to the members menu and select sunbscriptions as shown below. [Graphical user interface, application, Teams Description automatically generated]
From the subscriptions page, simply select the forum area’s you want access to.

Remember to use the vertical scrub bar to see all forum areas AND don’t forget to click “Update Subscriptions”.
