COVID-19 UPDATE

Positives

Over the last three months the club and its members have worked hard maintaining the Covid controls and allowed competitive squash and racketball to recommence.

This good work has allowed some benefits:-

Court 4 can now be used.

More than 2 members may now be in the changing room. It has been recognised how difficult it is to maintain the 10 minute showering and changing window. There can now be a cross over period, while one pair finish changing, another pair can be preparing to enter the shower. This is no excuse to not leave the changing room as quickly as possible. A time-saving hint is to complete the court wipe down after you have changed.

There is however, one more additional control. In line with the rest of the facility, please wear a mask at all times, unless on court or in the changing room.

Negatives

Unfortunately, despite the hard work of the majority, there are a number of members who are not following the controls.

This selfishness risks the reversal of the situation and a possibility that the use of the club could be stopped.

Specific controls that are not being met are:-

Arriving in non-playing clothes and changing prior to playing.
No spectating is allowed. Please do not stay inside the club as a spectator.
Members are not allowed upstairs.
The toilet in the club should not be used.
The changing room should only be used AFTER playing.
Face masks must be worn within the Club when not playing squash
